ACH (Direct deposit)

The ACH Network is a highly reliable and efficient nationwide batch-oriented electronic funds transfer system governed by the NACHA OPERATING RULES which provide for the interbank clearing of electronic payments for participating depository financial institutions. www.nacha.org

Affiliate link

A link with a unique identifier of an affiliate, which is used to track sales.

Affiliate program

A program that allows other companies or individuals to market a company's products or services for a commission fee per item sold.

Banner

A rectangular online advertisement in the form of a graphic image that runs across a web page.

Check

A cheque (British English) or check (American English) is a negotiable instrument instructing a financial institution to pay a specific amount of a specific currency from a specific demand account held in the maker/depositor's name with that institution. Clipart library

A selection of elements that may be helpful in the creation of websites using templates. Elements include Arrows, Bullets, Buttons, Icons, Logos, Windows for content, etc.

Commissions

Payments paid to affiliates for generated sales calculated as a percentage of the sales volume.

Control Panel

A browser-based affiliate account management tool. Allows users to manage their affiliate account settings, e.g. add new presets, use affiliate tools, etc.

Cookie

Small data files written to a user's hard drive by a web server. These files contain specific information that identifies users (e.g. passwords and lists of pages visited).

CSS

Cascading Style Sheets, or CSS, are a series of instructions that specify how text should appear on a Web page. You can use CSS to set styles for text, borders, and other elements, and apply these styles to your entire Web site. www.w3.org/Style/CSS

CSS validator

Form

An input object that displays certain blank fields that users can fill in with data and saves the data to server.

Frame

In HTML, refers to dividing the browser display area into separate sections, each of which is actually a different Web page.

Hex color value

A numbering system composed of six letters and ten numbers that is used to condense binary numbers. In HTML, hexadecimal numbering is used with tags and their attributes to denote what colors should comprise backgrounds and other elements in a Web page. www.w3.org/TR/CSS1

HTML

Hypertext Markup Language. The coded format language used for creating hypertext documents on the World Wide Web and controlling how Web pages appear. www.w3.org/MarkUp

IFrame

A floating frame inserted within a Web page, which is not bound to the side of a browser window.

Macros

A plain text with specific semantics, which serves to insert corresponding values.

Merchant system

Any business that agrees to accept credit cards and debit cards in exchange for goods or services. In terms of Internet Commerce, a merchant is any web site that is selling goods, services, or digital content to consumers or other businesses.

Order ID

A unique code that is supplied with an e-mail notification of the template purchase.

PDF

Portable Document Format. PDF is the de facto standard for the secure and reliable distribution and exchange of electronic documents and forms around the world, with a ten-year track record. PDF is a universal file format that preserves the fonts, images, graphics, and layout of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. Adobe PDF files are compact and complete, and can be shared, viewed, and printed by anyone with free Adobe Reader software.

Preset

A saved group of settings that can be applied to a template shop (elements) when it is created.

Private labeled affiliate program

(also white-label program): a model where affiliates are allowed to resell products and services offered by the mother company under their own brand.

PSD

The native file format of the Adobe Photoshop graphical editing application. Adobe Photoshop is a standard editing application in the print and Internet media worlds.

Referral program

(also multi-level, two-tier or tiered program): a model where affiliates are allowed to refer new affiliates and customers to a website and earn a commission on their customers' purchases and new affiliates' performance.

RTF

Rich Text Format File. An alternative format to the DOC file type supported by Microsoft Word.

Skin

Custom graphical appearances (GUIs) that can be applied to template previews in order to suit the different tastes of different users.

Subaffiliate

An affiliate who subscribed for MyTemplateStorage affiliate program through a supervisor affiliate link.

Supervisor affiliate link

A link with a unique identifier of an affiliate which is used to track subaffiliate signups.

Supervisor affiliate program

A program that allows other companies, or individuals, to join MyTemplateStorage affiliate program.

Thumbnail

A small version of an image, normally linked to a larger version.

URL

(Uniform Resource Locator): The standard way to give the address of any resource on the Internet that is part of the World Wide Web (WWW). A URL looks like this: http://www.mytemplatestorage.com/

Website templates

Semi finished web pages that have been predesigned and assembled with all the graphics and necessary code needed to get a web site online quickly.

Wire Transfer

A wire transfer is an automated electronic transfer between two bank accounts in 2 banks that have an established agreement. The bank has to be part of the Federal Reserve System in the USA. Practically every bank in any country is part of this network, at least through a third party partner bank.

"www" or "public_html"

A special folder on server for handling files you want to place online.

ZIP

A compressed file format. Many files available on the Internet are compressed or zipped in order to reduce storage space and transfer times. To uncompress the file, you need a utility like StuffIt (Mac) or WinZip (Windows).
